Say NO to 0870 Rip-Off Numbers

Sites like SayNoTo0870.com are what make the internet so good. Many people don't know that UK telephone numbers starting with 0870, 0871, 0844 etc are a complete rip-off. Basically they're premium rate numbers (cheapest cost 7p min!) of which the company you call gets a cut. So if you call your bank for example to complain, the bank will charge you!
But people are fighting back as the SayNoTo0870.com proves. What the website does is provide alternative numbers to call so all people get charged is a standard BT call rate.
Fight back, don't let the greedy companies get away with it, especially the banks who together make profits in excess of £10billion a year. You would have thought in these circumstances they'd at least provide free telephone calls to their account holders. But no, in the UK if you're a consumer then the big companies want your money in which ever sneaky way they can think of.
