Another Fake Regulator is IOFCC - Watch The Scam Offshore Brokers

UPDATED : October 2005
  • What a surprise the OFFCO & the IOFCC websites have now been taken down
  • There's also no sign of the broker websites including the infamous scam companies like Lynx Commodities, Nexus Futures and Bernstein & Nader
  • Be on your guard folks because these scammers aren't out of business, they'll just come up with new names over the next few weeks and months
  • Remember these 3 GOLDEN RULES

  1. Never do business with ANY financial firm that calls you out of the blue, repeat NEVER (however plausible they sound, remember they're professional scammers of the highest quality)
  2. Always check out the firm in question by calling your country's financial regulator and checking them out. Whatever you do don't let the scam firm hoodwink you in thinking they are regulated by some fake regulator located in Switzerland etc
  3. Use Google, Google is your best friend when it comes to playing detective, after all you found this page didn't you......

If you follow these rules you'll be fine, but if you let your greed take control then you can kiss your money goodbye........

*For UK citizens ask the firm for their Financial Services Authority (FSA) registration number and then call the FSA to check them out - 0845 606 1234

August 2005

Back in July we warned about companies such as Lynx Commodities who 'were' regulated by the fake regulator OFFCO - Read more about it here. Well, it's no surprise that the links to OFFCO have been taken down on the Lynx Commodities website and replaced by other fake regulator called the International Offshore Futures & Commodities Commission or IOFCC for short. (see the website)

Watch these scamming brokers because in plain English, they only exist to steal your money.

There's not much to really write about that wasn't said in the previous article apart from if you're ever cold called by a financial institution offering 'easy profits' there's a 99% chance you're being set up.

If you're UK based and pay UK tax then NEVER deal with a company that's not regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). And if you're based in a western economy, only do business with companies that are regulated by your country's financial Regulator.
