Google Speeds Up The Internet
May 2005
Google has just released a small utility that promises to speed up your surfing. It's called the Google Web Accelerator and initial testing and internet reviews are very promising. It works with both the Internet Explorer and Mozilla browsers but you do need either the Windows 2000 or XP operating system.
So How Does It Work?
We don't know exactly because we're not computer nerds but it's endorsed by the computer savvy surfers over on www.webmasterworld.com and there's little they don't know. Note that it only speeds up broadband connections so if you're still with the dinosaurs and on a dialup connection it's another reason to upgrade your surfing capabilities.
As ever with Google the software is simple to install and works in the background. Check it out you've got nothing to lose.
